ERYTHRITÖL – ERYTHRITOL POWDER
Erythritol powder is a sugar substitute especially suitable for sweetening drinks and desserts in general.
It is a polyol (sugar alcohol) obtained from the fermentation of glucose with the yeast Moniliella pollinis .
It has a sweetening power between 0.6 and 0.7 times that of sugar (sucrose).
In nature, it is found in fruits such as pears, melons, and grapes, as well as other foods like mushrooms and fermented products such as wine, cheese, and soy sauce.
Unlike other polyols, erythritol does not cause digestive problems even at high doses.
